Hi Karo, love the idea. Just one thing I'm afraid is that we face in the early days of the internet (around 1996).
Back then, we didn't have search engines, but directories. Yahoo started as I directory. And they were extremely hard to maintain. Websites were evolving faster than the directories could update.
My concern is the following, and I have no idea how to solve it : the products evolve, and the Substack posts quickly become outdated. How do you plan to follow the evolution in such a fast paced landscape ?
I have the same concern :) The only thing I can do, is to rely on a flow of new submissions + automate archiving + let it evolve from the current format organically over time. Let's test how that's going to work out. Do you have any ideas?
I would automatically remove everything older than 6 months, unless the post has been updated.
Other thing would include fetching the post’s screenshot, fetching apps recent screenshots, and comparing them using AI to see if the post is still up to date.
Thank you for sharing our directory of women and nonbinary folks writing about AI and data, Karo! We are at 400 already and I am working on the next big batch of updates 😊
I've written a series of articles on how (Generative) AI actually works - easy to understand for complete beginners and non-specialists. It might not fit into this article as it's not exactly a tool, but sharing it here if anyone's interested.
Thank you for sharing our directory of women and nonbinary writers about AI and data, Karo! And I’m looking forward to seeing the AI tool writeups and insights on ethics.
I love this idea!
Thank you Jen!
Glad to be part of this! More cool things on the way 🙌🏻
Great idea! Congrats on the launch!
Thank you!
