I'd like to petition for another doubling of your subscriber count! I like how you bring the PM perspective to writing from 0. I also spent my first couple days surfing around without posting anything until I realized that Substack is a really forgiving platform when it comes to iterating on content.
Side note: Your art seems to allow you to create a consistent, custom style for your page. I'm gonna get back into drawing and try that for myself. It's awesome.
You neglect to mention that you are also really active in engaging with people here. My subscriber number is still hovering below 100 despite having been on here for months and have been posting once a week! Learning from you!
This is my first week on Substack. Publishing that first post was terrifying, and consistency isn't easy, but I'm falling in love with the platform. Real people reading, writing, and supporting each other makes it worth it. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and keep up the great posts 👏
Karo, you are a mind-reader. Just when I thought: "How did she double her sub count again?", you came with the tips.
One question, though: Do you also advertise your articles through LinkedIn? Do you have any number on how many people subscribed from there? I am curious if I should try and build a larger followership on LinkedIn, too, as my subscriber growth is pretty slow.
This was very insightful. My first two months I saw no growth. I was treating Substack like a newsletter. I wasn't familiar with the platform. I wasn't using Notes. I wasn't aware of any of the strategies. About three months ago I've been locked in and am excited about the growth I've seen.
As someone who just started my journey here on Substack, this was very insightful. Thank you so much for sharing and wish you best of luck building your audience!

Oh wow, thank you so much for all these kind words🤗 It means a lot! Let me know when you have some drawings ready to share! 🤗
Thanks! I'll just have to be patient and keep going.
Nice piece. Learned alot
That's amazing. Thank you!
Love your advice to the junior PM - because having a strong POV & sharing it is exactly how to gain greater depth of experience faster.
Thank you for saying that Stephanie!

That's such a good point Evelyn! I didn't think to add this, but it's absolutely true.

Thank you Andreas! No, I almost don't use LinkedIn, so I haven't shared my publication there. Maybe one day I will, but not yet.
That makes your achievement all the more impressive. Kudos!
Thank you - it's more luck than anything else 🤗 Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you!

Thank you so much! And likewise!
"For the first week or so, I didn’t even dare to post anything. Just lurked and learned."
exactly my path :)
Haha! Awesome :)
